Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation Celebrates Third Anniversary of Foxwoods El San Juan Casino

This milestone honored three years of exceptional service, unforgettable experiences, and a steadfast commitment to its patrons and the Puerto Rican community.

Friday’s festivities included a cultural showcase honoring the Taino heritage of Puerto Rico, featuring members of the Concilio Taíno Guatu-Ma-Cu A Borikén. A historic meeting also took place between members of the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Council and the Native Tainos of Puerto Rico, Guatu-Ma-Cu A Borikén. Both tribes met for the first time as part of the Foxwoods El San Juan Casino celebration, in an event aimed at promoting unity between the two cultures and communities.
